    STILLWATER ? Artrell Woods, who came back from a nearly paralyzing injury last summer to start again for the Oklahoma State Cowboys, has left Saturday's game against Houston with an injury. Woods injured his leg early in the game. The OSU radio broadcast reported he would not return.

  • Cincinnati 26, OU 52: Cincinnati no match for OU
    NORMAN - Sam Bradford overcame only the second multiple-interception game of his young career, completing 29 of 38 passes for a career-best 395 yards and five touchdowns and No. 4 Oklahoma overpowered Cincinnati 52-26 Saturday. Freshman Ryan Broyles had a breakout game with 141 receiving yards, Jermaine Gresham caught two touchdown passes and the Sooners extended the nation's longest home winning streak to 20 games. Broyles had a 27-yard touchdown reception in the first quarter and extended a key second-half drive with a leaping 43-yard catch to allow the Sooners (2-0) to start pulling away with 24 consecutive points.

  • Hearing reset in Iraq death case
    BAGHDAD - A pretrial hearing will be held Sept. 20 at a U.S. base in Tikrit for an Oklahoma lieutenant charged in the death of an Iraqi detainee, the U.S. military announced Saturday. Army 1st Lt. Michael C. Behenna of Edmond, Okla., has been charged with premeditated murder, assault, making a false official statement and obstruction of justice in the death of Ali Mansour Mohammed, the military said in a statement. Staff Sgt. Hal M. Warner of Braggs, Okla., faces the same charges in the case. His Article 32 hearing, which will determine if there is enough evidence for a court-martial, has already been announced for Thursday in Tikrit.
