Tulsa's Blue Dome District Bar Scene Print E-mail

Tulsa’s night life scene can add one more notch to its belt with the addition of the Blue Dome Entertainment District. Although some of the bars have been around for years now it has recently earned the classification of the Blue Dome District.

This area has some great bars including Dirty's Tavern, Arnie's Irish Pub, McNellie's Pub House as well as 1974 Pub & Grill as well as a few restaurants including the Route 66 Diner. One of the most appealing features of this are is even though it is in downtown Tulsa you won’t have to hassle with parking thanks to a huge lot at 2nd & Elgin .

If you end up down here and you don’t like the first bar you walk into you can just jump across the street to another one with all of the bars in easy walking distance from one another. The atmosphere in the Blue Dome District is very casual with your average 20 something crowd populating most of the venues.

You won’t find night clubs or dj battles in any of the bars but you can catch some great local bands playing in just about any or all of the bars every weekend and throughout the week. It is highly recommended if you are looking for a nice night out to a local pub.
